This book is unique in several ways. It is light and yet is written in a way where you think this could actually happen. I thought I wasn't going to enjoy it, but it turns out that I did very much and recommend it to everyone--men and women.

So far this is not a very interesting book to listen to. Orlean reads herself, which is rare but i always find interesting to hear the author's own inflection, etc. However, her reading is very flat, very matter of fact, just as a reporter might do. I'll report in again as I get further into the book.
