You know how sometimes one can tell where an author's political beliefs lie when reading a book? I usually will try to overlook that when the story is a good one, but this one is pretty heavy handed. Too much of the real world impinging upon the fictional one is a turnoff... at least for me. That soapbox stuff is for Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media.
