The main premise of the book is that there is a better way to regulate tech businesses. Out with the old and in with the new. I have so many concerns with the thesis that smaller businesses are better than large businesses (“dictators”). Meta and Alphabet grow large because they could. What is the impact if we change how corporations are run.

Key things in the book are plain wrong. Bitcoin is a Fiat currency. Just like the American dollar. The US dollar used to be tied to the gold. Google got started through a US government grant. Most, if not all technologies that are mentioned in this book were started by US government financing. They did not do it from their garage with their own pocket money! And yet the author is an expert on this. SMH.

Part 1 was amazing.

If you have a business mindset, you cannot afford to overlook the messages in this book. This domain is not my cup of tea but it’s a nice distraction sometimes.
