The points the author is trying to make, gets across to the reader. However the original texts referenced in the book, seems misquoted at best. There is or was no need to misinterpret the material but it does lower the enjoyment of reading this book. Needless to say I am becoming sceptical of the ideas presented herein because how the previous scholars are misinterpreted.

Page 36, quote on Adam Smith seems incorrect. Smith argued there were too much imperfect competition at the time and he was arguing for more and not less of government intervention. Moreover Adam Smith was among the first to argue for the state creation of a sovereign wealth fund. I would suggest consulting Russ Roberts Econ Talk and Tyler Cowen Marginal Revolution University (Apologies for any typos).

After reading this book, you may have a different view of the role of government in creating new markets and generating wealth. Very persuasive writer. Also enjoyed thoroughly the interview of the author by Russ Roberts at EconTalk a couple of years ago.
