OK, this is the second book I am reading by Gaiman and don't know how about other books, but I am astonished at how mature all the kids are.

I like Gaiman's interpretation. I wish more authors read their own books!

So, I'm on page 317 and I think I have about 80 pages to read yet when the book suddenly ends. Ok not the book, the story does. But it's not fair, isn't it?
I am just going to quote the last sentence of the story which is quite right for this moment- life is not fair. It's just fairer than death, that's all.

"... Life is not fair. Forget all the garbage your parents put out. Remember Morgenstern. You'll be a lot happier".

I reached the part where <spoiler> Buttercup understands that the man in black is Westley. Goldman abridged Morgenstern's book, so he couldn't add the make up scene absent in the original book - being forbidden by his editor.</spoiler> In order to annoy his editor, Goldman writes his address, ans says to write him if I want to read the scene. This book was published in 1999, but I think maybe I can still write him.

Finished HP4 and heading for HP5 - my second favorite after forth book!

This book is so hilarious and fun to read!!!

Finished Salomé. Not bad but enjoyed the comedies better than this one. Wilde has a thing with satires.

Ok why didn't I have access to these series when at school? I would have enjoyed them so much.
Oh, and I just keep imangining the whole story as an animé.

It took me 4 whole books, 10 pages from David Coperfield, leaving English Patient and American Gods and 19 days to understand that I need to reread this otherwise I will never overcome this book's hangover.

After several scary nights I finished the first book. This edition is marvelous with black and white pictures and makes the story more creepy. I know I would have liked it more about 10 years ago, but still it was a fun read.
3 stars for the first book.
