So far so good. It is a gem of the few hard scifi books from the Golden Era of SciFi (1951) that depicts a more accurate Mars compared to the Red Planet books with Martians. As the description of the book mentions: “The Mars of this novel has no fabulous cities or exotic princesses: it is the planet which modern science has revealed to us.”
Definitely, Arthur C. Clarke is one of my favourite hard scifi authors.
