It Grows On You - what on Earth was that? A rambling info dump of obscure Castle Rock urban legends and old men arguing about nothing. There was no story here.

Popsy: starts off in a very unsettling way but then begins to go in a new direction. It seemed to me that this was linked to the previous story. Quite a thrilling little monster tale, and also quite messed up.

The Night Flier: a good set up for a story that doesn't pay off. It spent far too much time on the preamble which promised so much more than it delivered. Hopefully the film adaptation expands on this a lot.

Suffer The Little Children: nicely written and very twisted in that classic Stephen King way. But it's too short to have much depth and ultimately doesn't do enough to leave any impression.

The End of the Whole Mess: kind of incomprehensible and not very well told. Something about two brothers creating water than can save humankind from war, but it all goes wrong. I was on the verge of throwing my Kindle across the room if the word 'Bowwow' appeared one more time.

Dolan's Cadillac: a strong start with a tale of revenge and single-minded determination. The build up created good tension and the finale got under my skin a bit. I had to shift my thinking to understand that highways in America can be that empty.

Maybe too much time spent on digging.
