Dany staying in Meereen seems a bad decision. Plus it really slows the story down.

The intro of Dorne is interesting if slow, and the Sand Snakes very cool characters. Nice mysterious reference to Sarella's "game".

Damphair's chapter sure is difficult to get through.

Not really enjoying the parts of the story set in the old Enterprise-era. The Picard/Dax/Riker stuff is good, though.

I went out to a real bookshop and bought 5 new books yesterday. It was one of the most enjoyably things I've done for a long time.

Apart from the insane cost of the books and the hellish experience of parking and then walking through town.

Some heavy stuff going on with Riker and Troi. Well written official and unofficial therapy sessions.

Explosive start, jumping between different time periods (DS9, post-Nemesis TNG and ENT) and crews.

Not sure if I find the heavily descriptive and poetic language to be beautiful or utterly pretentious. It's creepy but extremely slow and far to much detail in trying to describe things.
