First mention of Poland >50% into the book!

I find this book terribly depressing at times, having to put it down frequently in anger at the callousness of some of the peripheral characters' ambition and selfishness. Makes me pine for the demilitarised state of Costa Rica.

On another note, Follett is doing his usual fantastic job of creating interwoven lives with intriguing stories and displaying his usual theme of faith over religion.

Enjoying this novel mystery plot. The clues seem too easy though and I'm never one to beat the author to the punch so I'm highly suspect...

So many twists! And a smart little girl though she must be in her teens by now. No doubt I'm missing out on 50% of the story because I don't really understand James' English.

Not sure what to believe of this claim but I won't know until I've read, right? Here goes...

Translating James' ancient English is half the fun!

It's obscure reading but I'm intrigued. From what I gathered in the preface, Maisie is going to be quite the resilient little girl.

Getting lost in the Shakespearean references. Enjoying it otherwise. It's comforting to know not all sisters are the best friends they're made out to be in TV.

A tad depressing but I'm intrigued, so I won't be stopping as yet.

Hoping I enjoy this as much as Ender's Game. Looking forward to appreciating it more now that I actually understand the timeline.

A slow read - nonfiction is not my forte. Currently on the autobiographical memory chapter though, now -that- is my forte! Zooming through this chapter, relatively speaking.
