Oh!, This is a dark book. Kathy Ames is realizing fears I did not know I had. What a villain! Also, I am guessing at the pages because I am listening to the audiobook 🤪. ... a really uncomfortable novel. But does that make it good?

Getting vibes from some books that I have enjoyed:
"Dickens - Great Expectations" - taking things literally like "above someone in death and so assuming above someone in life
(tombstone scene from Dickens - Great Expectations)

"We, The Drowned" - multi generational story telling.

And, enjoying the letter writing though not as much as the letter writing from the 1923 show that has Harrison Ford in it.

I have been diving into "Before & After: How to Design Cool Stuff"
Really enjoying the perspective of letting an image drive things.
First finding/creating the image and how to approach that like an artist would. Then fitting everything around the image/theme!

Also the book is visual and simple and has been a great stress reliever that I can schedule into my day!

A branch cut from another branch is also, of necessity, cut from the whole tree. Just so, a man estranged from another man is separated from the rest of humanity. [...]

Generally speaking, a branch that is grafted on after having been broken off is not the same as the one that grows up with the tree and breathes with it from birth. As the gardeners say, the graft belongs to the tree but doesn't share its thoughts.

Book is not going well
Author is using too many words, too many big words and all of it speculative. Also book was written before the GPT.
