Our characters finish up their camping trip, mostly because they ran out of supplies and decided to just go back, and come back to their town completely desolate with no one there and all the dogs dead.

Our characters notice jets flying overhead while they were sleeping. This gets them thinking about what it is. (foreshadowing)

Ellie sits down under a tree retelling the story of how her and her friends' lives were changed when they went camping.

The Mayor goes to the school to tell Mr. Pomodoro that the orphans aren't legal and the school has to be cancelled. Mr. Pomodoro's wife, Eugenia, recognizes him as one of her VERY old friends. So they feed him lots of ravioli and the orphans can stay. The pigeon comes back but still remains unexplained. Years pass and the orphans are still at the village and the Angel has it's answers. The End.

Zola tells the Angel a story about when she was 6 and what she saw with Jake when he was still in an incubator. (Jake was born 2 months after the pregnancy so that's why he had to go in there.) She says that when she was watching him, she saw a light. A Pigeon is what she said it looked like. It seemed like it was giving Jake strength to survive. This makes the Angel wonder if "peoples" see angels as pigeons.

Zola and Mr. Pomodoro clean up the kids and bring them into the village. The Angel makes a revelation and begins to question many things.

Zola and the Angel go back into the shed with the orphans to set things right and actually fix the problem this time. They get to know them and then put into Mr. Pomodoro's going to be International School. The Angel also takes us to Signora Divino's past and how she is not like she seems.

In the beginning, Zola and Mr. Pomodoros move into the village with this mostly clueless angel that is always confused about everything. Zola confuses the Angel a lot and now the Angel has done something kind of bad. She had the poor children of the village to steal the food of the villagers and she must fix it again.

It is time for Helmuth and his friends to face the judge. Helmuth completely goes against the judge and says that "Germany's leaders are liars." Helmuth is now sentenced to death.

Helmuth is finally caught. The police arrest him and ransack his house with his grandparents home. He is sent to a concentration camp where is now interrogated terribly who else he was spreading this enemy propaganda with.

Helmuth's brother (Hugo) brings home a foreign radio that they absolutely cannot tune into or they will get arrested. Hugo locks it away but Helmuth opens it up and listens to it. He brings his friends over every other day to listen to the BBC at night and hear true statistics about the war. Brother Worbs from the church returns as well from the concentration camp. He has come back terribly tortured.

The indian war ends and Joe goes back to his show life

Poland sends soldiers to attack German soldiers (for who knows why) so Germany retaliates and invades Poland. Sparking one of the biggest wars in history.

Helmuth and his friend Rudi want to actually do something about the current crime happening around their area of Hamburg. They end up getting somebody but Helmuth feels wrong about it as he isn't sure if it really was him. Also, a 13 year old jew shot a soldier and sent him to a hospital for a few days. The soldier dies and outrage ensues and Germany's hatred for Jews strengthens.

Helmuth attends his first day of middle school and questions something about a German Soldier's loyalty and the teacher ends up giving the entire class a 500-word essay about how "great" Hitler is. His feelings are just torn now and he is arguing with himself.

As Ed and his Wife and family settle into Arkansas the Indians start to get aggressive

Ed and his family are now living in their own built house in Kansas (i think)

Ed goes off into Kansas to fight the Indians in a war

Men are now being drafted for war as Ed and a few buddies are drafted

Ed is sent to a hospital in Rhode Island with the most savage brutal doctor ever. Ed begins an escape to his home town. He gets attacked by an officer but he made it to his home.

Ed arrives in New York city with 300 other sick soldiers. Soldiers begin getting drafted.

Ed is terribly sick as his army has to move north to a new base

Joe begins to play in band and gets REALLY sick

Joe's army marches through the country and waits at a camp for a really long time. (a few months in fact.)

Joe goes off into the civil war

Joe just tells us about all of the different things he did in the town.

Joe tells us more about the people from his childhood

Joe tells us more about his grandfather and their animal skin business.
