What The FUCK???!!!??

Wait now we're here, at the moment when answers can come and we're wasting time on pathos? Yes , sad, mad I get it but maybe wait on the recriminations until there are answers?

You know, if anyone in this story would have- at ANY point simply spoke their minds, shared information, or actually talked like people as opposed to keeping vague secrets for no adequately explained reason (except "they might not trust me, which no one did anyway so...) maybe this all could have happened in a far less irritating way. As it stands, GET ON WITH IT!!!

Wait. We are told Darcy has the hots for Lizzy?! I find this story much more interesting when that's a surprise (like in most adaptations). Now it's even more boring!

What horrible plague does Jane have? It sounded like a cold but she has been infirmed at Netherfield for weeks (or hours, time means nothing in this book). No one wants to move her, but no one aside from Lizzy is even risking their health by seeing her which ruins Mrs. Bennett's sociopathic sex-slavery endgame anyway. What gives?

The countdown chapter titles coupled with my healthy fear of John Green creating wonderful character, making me love them and then ripping my heart out is creating a large sense of dread

Oh lord what a headache I already have from the overwrought language in this book. Speaking of, when is "To-morrow fortnight"? Is that 2 weeks from tomorrow? Starting tomorrow and lasting 2 weeks? I would not have flourished in the 1800s

It's hard to read a "love story" told by a cynic. Or is he a realist?

Best adjective to describe this so far? Clumsy. But my favorite classic at this point. I hope that doesn't change...

Hm. I'm starting to think our dear Carraway might have a touch of the unreliable narrator in him. Or he's just a gossipy prude. Who hates gossip. Weird guy

The narrator, Carraway (aka the author insert character I gather) is simultaneously really naive and really judgmental

I've noticed, in reading all of these classic stories, that we've grown less verbose over the years. Good in that we get our thoughts out faster, bad in that we no longer have endless inner and outer monologues.

Wow this book is...seriously terrible. Done with book 1 and I'm counting that as done with it all. No desire to read any of these stories further.
