The fact that I don’t even care about Esme and Varian’s character connection at this point. They’re both getting on my nerves for different reasons 😂

So far, this book has been 10 percent romance and 80 percent plot stuff that I don't care about.

I love Loretta Chase but I’m straight up not having a good time right now 😭

If this book had just been about Nell getting advice from a morphine induced hallucination of Elizabeth Gaskell it would’ve automatically gotten 5 stars from me.
