So far, it reminds me of many of the Appalachian Trail (AT) journals / books I have read over the years. Only read the one Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) book (Wild by Cheryl Strayed) which is referenced in this one. So far she’s just preparing for the hike; buying gear and doing practice hikes. It does seem a little crazy for her to do the PCT since she lives relatively close to the AT, but she has her reasons.
