I would totally want to label Did Not Finish books on here but 90% of the time me not finishing something is because I didn’t have the time to finish it..

Whoa. I didn’t think this would be so enjoyable. Im so glad I just said: “f it” and just decided to start reading the book. I like everything so far. And the eeriness/…mistyness(?) haziness(?) makes me think of silent hill 2 oddly enough. Even tho totally different forms of media, and this book is Not violent/grotesque. It’s the focus on Memory…

The fact that that author managed to interview a number of famous Brazilians amazes me.

Sometimes it’s wild to think of all the possible times humanity could’ve never progressed or expanded. The way fire became “tamed” in this so far has been so creative and interesting. Feels plausible.. Also wild to remember the necessary of fire remained with humans from the earliest days all the way until like, electricity…

Thinking of having a separate account for children/teen/YA books I’ve read. Not sure though.

Excited to be starting the chapter about culture. I imagine there’ll be talk about the greatness of 1960’s/1970’s Brazilian music. And of course, 1959’s great Chega de Saudade, arguably the first Bossa Nova album.
