I just want to slap Serilla but at the same time I cannot guess where her character arc is going. Will she be friend or foe at the end? Seems to have a strong yet awkward moral compass.

Vivacia finally realized the secert of the liveships and it drastically impacts everyone aboard the ship. Seems like the dragon is in control. I do believe that Vivacia can be revived...

Finally got to see some dragon action. Loved her take on the reptiles. When Reyn asked the dragon if she could swim, she replied I am not a duck. Made me laugh.

Waylander saving the nephew of the king he slew. An interesting take at redemption. Im curious to see what happens next. I wonder how Nilad reacts when he finds out about the Grey Man's identity...

I love Yu Yu Liang as a character. Kinda like the goof off character. You just have to root for him.

I was pleasantly surprised that the Gray Man aka Waylander inherited a huge amount of wealth from thr previous book. I could never imagine an antihero such as the Slayer living in a mansion and using his money to help the less unfortunate. Definitely a huge turn in his character arc and towards a path of redemption especially after his intial selfish actions - killing the king in the first book.

I like how the demons are portrayed in this book

Orginally thought that the prince was the culprit in summoning the demons. But maybe i am wrong.

I really like Bison as a character. Brings a smile to my face.
