This book is well-written. John McPhee is well known for his many works of non-fiction, but this is the first I've read. It's quite interesting--I had never considered the Swiss Army before (except for their iconic knives) and so all of the information in this book is new to me, including that their Army is defensive only, but very large and well trained. Though it's a bit dated (published in 1983), I'm enjoying it!
