So I really wanted to read something easy but that wouldn’t ask me to put my feelings on the line because I’m too tired, so essays. Also easy because I’m lazy and I don’t want my brain to be challenged and I really just want it to be a quick read. So far so good, pretty easy to read but gladly I do think I will learn something but without making my brain tired yeay!

As always (apparently) some poems I just didn’t care for at all but others really touched me and made me cry. What I probably like the most is that some of her poems are so rotted in finding happiness in the ordinary and she is so right about so much stuff and I don’t know they just made me feel really nice.

That was so nice and enjoyable. Some bits had really interesting commentary and just a way of looking at things that I had never thought of. I actually feel like I learned something and I love that the main thing about the book is about people shape each other and should allow themselves to depend opón one another. It was really nice

This has been like really nice. Some of the poems I feel kind of neutral about but others ones really are great and hit me in the gut

I’m actually really liking it, I was sacred I wouldn’t. I think it has really interesting bits and something that Connell thought about graduation really hit home. I like the way it’s written in a nice simple way but it’s still pretty. I don’t know I just find this story very emotional

Fuck the bit about abortion broke me, felt like shire’s conversation about home. This book has such nice quotes

I read clementine love prays to Oregon and re-read it a thousand times over the last couple days. Now I’m reading this book, yeay

Okay the whole thing with the teacher really hit me, i didn’t except it at all and it was fucking stressful. Meanwhile I really like it, it’s just as emotional as the tv show

This is practically the same as the show, there’s maybe like a few more details but not all that much

Básicamente estaba pensando y llorando demasiado sobre la serie y connell entonces decidí leer el libro. Por alguna razón últimamente he estado obsesionada pensando sobre el amor y necesito saciar esa necesidad inesperada. Además no quería volver a verme la serie xq siento que la acabo de ver. De momento el libro va bien y muuy rápido

Pero siento que aunque esté libro promete capturar ese sentimiento extraño y mágico de la noche y la madrugada no lo hace completamente, al menos no para mí. Además siento qué hay muchas cosas que parecen prometer una resolución o al menos algo más y luego simplemente desaparecen. Esperaba mucho más, como algo más especial y auqnue estuvo bien y tuvo sus cosas buenas no termina de convencerme

Hay mucha empatía por los personajes y es extraño porque aunque no nos digan básicamente nada sobre ellos siempre se sienten como personas completas y esa es probablemente mi parte preferida sobre murakami. Fue muy divertido y extraño la manera en la que se narra como una cámara de seguridad en partes del libro y es algo que nunca antes había leído

Estoy decepcionada??? Honestamente esperada mucho más, no sé si me perdí algo o que pero aunque haya sido hipnótico y entretenido de leer al final del libro solo pensé ñah. Aunque hayan partes buenas me siento muy neutral sobre este libro, solo estuvo bien pero ñah. Voy a leer reseñas a ver qué le gusto a otra gente jajajja

Me gustan más que todo las interacciones entre Mary takahashi y la manera en la que se describen las cosas. Pero no tengo ese sentimiento de que algo está mal o de incomodidad que creo que el libro está intentando que tenga. Solo es interesante pero nada destaca.

Me sigue impresionando lo mucho que me gustan los libros de él tomando en cuenta que son tan centrados en la male gaze. Son como adictivos de leer

Empecé a leer esto anoche y de momento me va gustando bastante. Estaba cansada de leer solo no ficción y ya necesitaba tener algún libro de ficción a la mano, este fue una decisión un poco impulsiva

Feels extremely mean to give it a 3⭐️ but it’s not quite a 4⭐️ so like a 3.7-3.8? It is written in a beautiful very immersive way, I loved the dialogue and the intensity of Elio’s emotions. Loved the whole thing about them becoming each other and that their true lives were only with each other but I kind of feel that the ending was more emotional and done a bit better in the movie.

academia that I love to think about. I like the way Elio think about things and how he gives stuff this ethereal timeless quality.

I feel like what I like the most about this book is the atmosphere and just imagining that I am in Italy, in the summer with someone young that loves me in this kind of senseless simple way and that whole thing about bare skin I don’t know I just sounds like a dream. Also the way this book is written is just so beautiful and i like how it incorporates other things and greek mythology, it gives it a sort of light

I almost died when he confessed to Oliver, literally felt like I couldn’t breath out of stress even though I know how this is going to end. Things didn’t feel half as intense in the movie. But I also don’t get how Oliver understood him cause Elio was soo damn vague about the whole thing, I would have never gotten it

The way this is written is by far my favorite part. Just the freaking emotions of it and right now what feels like a hopeless all consuming crush. Some of the lines or paragraphs have literally taken my breath away and I wish I could highlight the living hell out of this book

I feel like I’m learning so much and the whole thing about talking with the elephant and not with the rider feels life changing even though I haven’t applied it yet

Okay it got really good again even if I feel like I am missing some important metaphor in some of the poems

It started off really strong but I haven’t been feeling the last few poems

Souvenir was probably my favorite of the new ones. But they are all amazing and I really loved the preface by bernardine Evaristo

I literally have no words, I have cried so much. I have loved all of them

I enjoyed reading it and hearing about all the random places and ways in which he has lived his life. Some parts were really funny. It felt kind of like watching a stand-up.

This was so cute and nice and I felt like the overall story had more ✨substance✨ that the first one. Zaf is the sweetest person on earth and I want to be friends with Danika. I wish we had seen more of the boys zaf was training/helping because that one scene was really funny
