It seems that everyone I "know" here at Goodreads has read this book but me. I just started listening and I already know that this is going to be a winner.

Every once in a while I try a new-to-me author. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but in this case I am truly impressed. An excellent story, well written, with complicated characters, and a bit of explosive violence here and there. I've not read anything like this before.

I have no idea why I love this series. It's sappy and saccharine at times and that is just not ME. But, in spite of myself, I'm finding this audio absolutely delightful!

This is just as delightful as the first one was. The narrator is exceptionally good and I can't help but laugh every time Chauncey has something to say.

I'd forgotten just how good this book was. God, I ADORE Michael McDowell's work.
