I want to smash that bowl over Big Gordon’s damn head!!!!! I had to rewind the audio to make sure I’d heard right. Tragically, I had.

I feel like I need to do my reviews in cursive now that goodreads went and gussied up their logo.

It’s hard to convey the power of manipulation that a narcissist can exercise over their victim. This book does a great job, but it’s so brutal to read.

There’s something alluring about this book. It’s like those scenes in a film when the protagonist is following someone or some thing, but they don’t quite know why. This allure is managing to make me keep turning the page and is exactly what I Who Have Never Known Men lacked.

That last sentence was unnecessary, but I love dunking on that book.

I know I’m reading something wonderful, but I feel a deep rooted sadness in my subconscious. The book feels so similar to North Woods that it lacks the POP for me that I know it deserves.

“The language is blurredly broad, you sing rather than speak, while French consists of little needles, tiny stitches in silk fabric, none of which is allowed to miss.”

The fact that the above is a translated sentence blows my mind. Amazing work.

I haven’t laughed like this since I read Inherent Vice. I’m like crying laughing, and then coughing from laughing so hard. Part of its because the book is hilarious and part of it is because I’m getting old. Lawd almighty.

Has a bit of an Inherent Vice feel or The Nice guys film, both of which I love. It’s not quite to that level yet, but it’s entertaining if not a bit on the nose.

Feeling like Captain Planet. Water and Earth powers have combined now Fire and Air to go. Incredible achievement.
