This is an exhilarating read, rehabilitating Aquinas' legacy in the face of pervasive, large misunderstandings of his metaphysics, esp. re: The Five Ways.

Tearing through this at a fairly brisk clip. Such a richly textured, sad, bizarre, and funny world.

Rereading this. Probably my favorite novel ever and I'm under the impression that it really deserves a second read to fully appreciate it, which is crazy given the length and its daunting nature. Re-loving it so far.

Excellent Orthodox catechesis. I've been studying the Orthodox Faith in more oblique and indirect ways, but this gets right to the heart of matters. Very helpful at addressing some of my biggest questions.

Finding myself in significant agreement with both Radical Orthodoxy, and the Reformed Tradition as represented by Kupyer and Dooyeweerd in the text. Very well-written, thought and researched by Smith, too.

Agree with most of the Radical Orthodoxy platform, save the 'baptised socialism' of their politics. But their tracing of the ontology of modernity to Scotus, their recovery of Augustine, their view of postmodernity as hyper-modernity rather than the catastrophist model, the incarnational & liturgical centrality etc. is all right on.

Great so far. I really want to read 'Theology & Social Theory' by Milbank, but it's too expensive and this might be an even better primer on the movement and its contours of thought.
