I read this part a couple nights ago but it’s been bugging me because I just found a plot hole. Dennis was at the Hogs Head to learn about the DA but he wasn’t allowed into Hogsmeade until book six because he’s in year two in this book 😭

I’ve reached the point in my reread where the terf starts to use “ejaculated” a lot to mean shouting and I still want to know what the thought process was for that lol

Harry should’ve just been selfish and agreed to take the cup by himself smh

That Aberforth and goat incident is always such a jump scare because why was any of that necessary?? Why couldn’t he have instead gotten in trouble for stealing something or punching someone??

I hate to say it but the more I reread this book every year, the more I start to feel like this may not be my favorite Harry Potter book anymore 🫣

I feel so bad for Neville when Harry tries to sneak off to Hogsmeade. He just wants a friend to hang out with 😔

I'm a chronic overthinker and I have a question for everyone.

How do you add trigger warnings for a book that speculates that a character killed themself but it's eventually revealed that their cause of death was different? I find discussions of suicide triggering but I also feel like it's misleading to say that a book has suicide in it when that's not how the character died. I need all of your opinions.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel for this tandem read!! I think it’ll be only two or three days before I finish it :)

This tandem read feels like it’s been going on for way too long. These two are essentially fillers for the final battle, so it’s more than 1,200 pages of filler 🤧

Aaand the plot twist that I accidentally spoiled for myself back when reading Assassin’s Blade simply because I wanted to know a character’s age is here. I don’t know whether to laugh or be angry at myself or both
