so far off to a very good start, i am hooked from the verh first sentence. Kelsier has killed the Lord Tresting character and i could not be happier. i find myself rooting for a rebellion

woke up at 9am on a sunday, decided to read Orbital. then i realised!! this isnt a lay in bed on a sunday morning kind of read!! this is a late night green tea on the balcony kind of read. so i closed it after finishing the first chapter. and will be readi mg it tonight

im really liking this book after a spell of melancholy and death and horror i needed to calm my nerves. im liking this so far

as i read i am so infuriated by the lack of voice and agency the lisbon sisters have. the lense they are viewed from is so sexualised, even as a corpse. as a result i am angry. and i am ignoring the parts where these men are talking about themselves and their experiences of life. uff i cant tell u how disinterested i am on male narratives. i am angry for how they are being treated by everyone including the writer!!

Nastenkas story reminds me of a film i watched many many years ago. I am convinced it was based on this book and not the other way around!!

I definitely prefer Nastenka’s story more than the mans story!! love me a female protagonist 🩵

i had a friend in uni who spoke like this man. i never fully understood what he was trying to say but he was honestly such a gentle soul. it really reminds me of him. his name is wahid. i hope he’s happy whereever he is now.
