Now it's getting interesting! It's so tense...

Very intrigued so far! I like the characters, and the writing, I can't wait to have time to read more!

I love this. The writing, as expected, is gorgeous, and I love the characters, the pure honesty of this novel.

What is keeping it from a 5 stars for me is the slight lack of punch so far - I know it's supposed to be brutal, but the intensity and heaviness is not quite there... still a good read, but lighter than it should be.

Suppose it won't take me a long time to read - this is surprisingly easy to get through. Rough at times, but nowhere near actually painful - or at least, so far. I like it a lot!

I saw the movie on a plane - I think it was last year. Unlike Jankowski's, my memory is very fuzzy. Curious about the book itself!

[My favorite book of the summer yet! More detailed review when I'm done - probably at the start of next week, even though I'm trying to savour it like a nice cup of tea with dessert!]

Stopping for now; I'm bored half to tears, the amount of mundane details and the unattrative - to me - character of Kafka is making this a very tedious read. I believe there's a time and a mindset for every book, but perhaps it's not the right time for this one for me. Back on the shelf, but I might pick it up again someday.
