Its unusual for me to enjoy a sequel more than the first book in a series, and while I didnt know if I was going to like this one as much as Warrior Heir, I love the excitement. Cinda Williams Chima does such a beautiful job weaving these tales. I dont want the story to end but Im looking forward to finishing this one and starting Dragon Heir which has been sitting on my nightstand for a couple months.

The main reason I love this series is how respectful the Faloii are to the animals, the environment, to eachother and to humans. Nature is being treated as she should.

The harmonies of people and nature give my soul joy but to say I'm frustrated at Octavias continued inability to communicate her feelings is an understatement. I hope this gets better because I'm not enjoying the story as much as I have been.

To reach a safe future, Octavia is on a quest to understand the past. So exciting.

Well written with complex characters and interesting story lines. I've decided to make biographical cards for the most interesting characters. Each will have a photo of who I think they may resemble. I think Nic would look like the longer haired and bearded Tim Omundsen. I will use these as bookmarks and note cards.

More tears shed but hope keeps me going.

I've kind of given up on this read. It's quirky, which I like, but it's also to young for me as I'm middle aged and this is young adult. It's probably more of a middle school book for nerdy, problem solving kids. I might pick it up in the future

I love this read so much. Olivia Cole has created an exciting world rich with unusual culture and unlikely heros. I actually look forward to going to bed just so I can read a few more pages.

I truly loved this book. I was taken on a journey that I could not stop if I tried. The characters are so rich, as is the plot. Elizabeth has a way of making every moment count and giving small hints but not giving anything away until she is ready. It was delicious and I'm hungry for book 2. TO VIRGINIA, the artist who made the map. Thank you! This was a breathtaking resource I turned to many times.

Wilde's account of Dorian Gray is as alive (see what I did there...) today as it was in 1891 and its quite a shame that this is his only published novel.

I'm enjoying Wilde's very creative use of the English language.

He is oh so quotable.
