Why are the men referred to by surname and the women by first name? Both Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant are "doctor", but Alan is always referred to by Grant (and all the other men by their surnames too) but Ellie is.. Ellie.

A bit annoying that the book adopts American spelling when the author is very much not American.

I've had this cute little special edition(?) set for like a decade, and I have never read them. Apparently, you can make lots of political parallels and so... Anyway, wish me luck.

He wrote about a character's naked breasts 3 times in almost as many paragraphs. also in the typical "she sleeps naked and woke up with her sheets around her waist." GDI I want to read a book where an adult woman wore a baggy shirt with pajama pants or some shit.

I like Beverly but hate how she's described. There's too much focus on her breasts at all ages and it's creepy. It reminds me of that Tumblr post about how men write female characters. The way Stephen King wrote Beverly is the epitome of that.
