First novel: 5 stars; ridiculous magical Regency fun with a HEA implied.

Finished book 9. In Afterword, author mentions writing at breakneck speed; it shows. 3 stars.

Completed book 6; 4 stars.

Completed book 6; 4 stars.

Completed book 6; 4 stars.

Book 5 done: 4 stars.

Finished book 4 on 01/17: 3.5 stars

Book 3: 3.5 stars

Second book finished: 4 stars

First book completed; 4.5 stars.

Wait. I meant episode 4. It’s all blurring together.

Finished episode the third. Le sigh. It is not improving.

Finished episode 2. The patriarchy. The lack of women’s agency or consent. Giving me hives.

These are “episodes,” novellas, not full-length books. Storyline not resolved at the end of book 1. World is interesting; character development is not great. Many implausible situations & character responses. Will keep reading for now.

2/5 stars for When Cops Prowl, a short story set in Clarissa & Travis’ rookie days.

2/5 stars for When Loved Ones Die, a prequel short story.

3/5 stars for When Vamps Bite.

Suspension of disbelief is hard even as premise is fun & world has potential. Too many punctuation errors, run-on sentences & off-colloquialisms. Needs better local research & overall editing.
