This has been great but I’m annoyed by one recurring anachronism; one of the principal characters, Anna, discovers some apparently old snuff boxes in an abandoned monastery in 1453 Constantinople. No. Like tomatoes, potatoes, and corn, no one in the old world knew a thing about any form of tobacco for at least another forty years on from the discovery of these “Snuff Boxes”.
