Very much a romance with some extra story along the way. Well-written with beautiful descriptions, but not the kind of story that tends to appeal to me. A little disappointed, as I had been led to believe there was more "weird fiction" in The King in Yellow.

About halfway through this current story. Thus far, feels like a romance story.

A pleasant little wartime story. It took me a while to understand it, but in the end it was sweet and tense at the same time.

The Demoiselle d'Ys was sad but sweet. I enjoyed the focus on the falconry, and I am sure there is some symbolism there that has gone right over my head.

The Yellow Sign read as a dark romance; there were sordid pasts unexplored, and awful truths concealed. The narrator seemed a tortured sort; perhaps a reflection of the author himself?

Suggested themes of paranoia to me. An interesting, obscure ending. Where does the dream end? Did he dream? I liked it, but I can't quite place why.

The Mask was more of a sweet story than a scary one, but it was well-delivered, with perhaps one or two moments that had the trace of weirdness. It had good foreshadowing, though, and a pleasing twist.

Ah, the wonderful tale of an unreliable narrator. The clues were planted well, but the ending still came as a triumphant twist.
