One of the few books I have read more than once, the title story/novella is one of the most perfect I have ever read. The imagery, pov, historical context, and dreamlike writing style is absolutely amazing. Though I have read it five or six times before, I am reading it again because I need to be reminded that as awful as some humans are, there are others who can create art that feeds the soul.
