This is a pretty intriguing premise so I'm definitely here for the ride. I'm DYING to know what the thing the snobby gentleman and his violent goon are after. Edwin's family is comfortingly kooky and Robin is fun as the sunshine element in this story. I think it'll be fun to see how the romance plays out but I'm especially interested in the magic system (based on cat's cradle) and the mystery.

Another knockout book from Anne Leckie. It's getting to the point now where I'll just read it because she wrote it. Hoping I got the pronouns right!

This book is weird. And wonderful! Some of it is kind of gruesome but not so bad I want to put it down.

I have a feeling this book is going to make me angry. As in child in danger, adults do stupid, unhelpful things kind of angry. Maybe thet will be entertaining? We shall see!

I'm SO invested in Velasin and Cae and I'm intrigued by the culture of Qi-Katai (I hope I spelled that correctly). There a lot of relationships ans interactions I'm enjoying seeing unfold and I'm genuinely curious to find out who is behind all the shenanigans. It's been a really good read so far. My favorite of the current batch I've got checked out aside from Book Lovers.

I was really enjoying this and then it got cringey between the lead and the Fae she's colluding with. And started to get bad romance vibes and I'm a lot less excited to finish this book now.

Love the chemistry between the leads. The banter is GREAT. Very enjoyable listen so far.

I like the bickering. It's funny. And she has really gotten him good a couple of times already. It's DELIGHTFUL. I really hope this author makes him eat his words by the end.

Well, that picked up. I hurtled through this though so that's something.

I feel like I'm dragging this out because I really am loving this pairing and their story (mostly) and I know I have to wait until prong for the final volume.

Interesting start. I'm hoping that the winning over the villagers part is nearly over and I'm gonna see some getting into the main plot is gonna happen soon.

I don't know... I may DNF this. I'm not 100% decided but I'm finding the lead character just so fucking whiny and entitled and not in a "I wanna see his change arc" kind of way.

I started this and MC is already a cringey POS so I'm not sure I want to sit theough her entitled BS. I just need to leave my apartment to encounter entitled non-POCs so this doesn't seem that entertaining to me.

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. Both of the MCs are annoying little shits. I csn only hope that either of them gets more interesting. So far none of the characters is terribly likeable. I will say that I kind of want to find out what's gonna happen when the 13 yr old kid grows up and is an adult. If that's even where this is going... If they don't get better I'll read Remnants of Filth vol 2 instead.

Still very funny. This is just silly good fun.

This is funny as heck! Highly recommend listening to the audiobook vs reading as the narration is ON POINT. This is a rollicking good time. Don't sleep on this book!
