I'm not sure if I really like this book so far.

The writing is just as lush as I remember, but it's not as engrossing as the first time I read it.

from Children's Reminiscences of the Westward Migration: I'm really not sure what this story was about. I didn't really like it.

The Star-Gazer's Log of Summer-Time Crime: I don't know why, but this story made me really sad. There was something ultra bleak about it.

Z.Z's Sleep-Away Camp for Disordered Dreamers: I really liked this story about a group of teens who get sent to a camp because they all have sleep disorders. I feel like I need to go to one of these places to cure my insomnia.

This book is far more of a straightforward mystery than its predecessor. The writing is poetic, but not as much as The Enchanted or The Child Finder.

Hunting Olivia: This was actually a really interesting story, but I was let down by the ending.

Still beautiful writing.

Ava Wrestles the Alligator: I think these are the characters from Swamplandia! and I liked the introductory story, even though it was a little confusing.

Wolf Alice: I have no idea what this is a retelling of, but it was pointless and I didn't understand the narrative.

The Company of Wolves: Another Little Red Riding Hood story, a far more developed and interesting one.

The Werewolf: Little Red Riding Hood retelling. Short, but fine

The Lady of the House of Love: A Sleeping Beauty retelling with vampires. It wasn't very good.

I like the flow of this book so far.

The Snow Child: Really short, but really disturbing.

The Erl-King: I'm not sure what this is a retelling of, but I was extremely bored by this story. Nothing happens at all.

I'm really invested in this mystery.

Puss-in-Boots: Retelling of Puss in Boots and really enjoyable actually.

I got really wrapped up in the story within a story.

The Tiger's Bride: Another Beauty and the Beast retelling, but slightly darker than the previous. I think I liked the other one better.

The Courtship of Mr.Lyon: Beauty and the Beast retelling. Could have been developed further, but the writing is lush.

The Bloody Chamber: Bluebeard retelling. Poetic writing, but the story is lacking.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book yet.

Very fast paced so far.

This book is infuriating my inner feminist.
