This book has utterly fallen apart and I just don’t want to F’ing read anymore.

This isn’t for the claustrophobic.

“Beauty”: Perhaps the saddest story I’ve read by McCammon. It was sweet and spooky and so damn sad. 5/5

“Doom City”: I feel like this is to THE BORDER what Stephen King’s “Night Surf” is to THE STAND. Meaning the stories take place in the same —or similar, at least — universes as their respective novel counterparts. This one is creepy! All the stars!

“The Red House”: Oh, I loved this! It reminded me of BOY’S LIFE. A tale of individuality and strange neighbors, this tale set in a small town in the ‘70s gave me all the satisfactions I expect from McCammon. 5/5

This book puts me in mind of Tabitha King’s CARETAKERS. :)

This book isn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. It’s more than a little derivative of Watchers, but I’m entertained nevertheless. :)

I fully expect this book to suck, as it has he reputation of being Dean Koontz’s worst. But I need something short and simple to offset THE TERROR.
