Not loving it TBH

Reading on the tube rather than at night so a bit slow going!

Not enjoying, love Ruth Jones but not this book. Despise the MCs and thinking of DNF… how disappointing for 4th book of 2025

Not really enjoying this TBH - finding both Kate and Callum extremely unlikable …

Loved book 1 of this series … a sweet and pleasant tale of the Sisters of Philomena and their extended families.

A little melancholy and I need an uplifting book. Will go back to it next

Fascinating though a little chaotic in its organisation. Too many details buried in footnotes.

I’ve been waiting for something meaningful to happen. Interesting take on a regency tale but not really feeling this one. Characters not drawn deeply enough and storyline feels superficial too. I’m pausing this one for a while

Ok, I admit it, I’m a cliché. Having just watched series 2, I’m desperate to read about Penlin or should that be Colope ??? (Penelope/Colin)

Working title - Waiting for sunshine

Beautiful, harrowing and a real insight into the challenges faced by those in China during WW2 and its aftermath. Must read up on this period as i don’t know very much about the evolution of China despite studying politics!
