Only 844 pages to go! So far, I am liking it, although I do not quite understand or how to read the text in boxes. Do I read it first or do I read it after I read the main text on the page?!! Hmmm…what a conundrum…

Here’s the deal! I like the story (overall), however, this novel is laden with many occurrences of Hindu/Pakistani phrases and words that the author does not tell the reader what they mean.

This to me is a very pretentious approach to writing on the authors part. This is one of my biggest pet-peeves that some authors do in the attempt to be outré. All the while, alienating a wide swath of readers.

A very interesting premise, and a very interesting story. A little thriller/sci-fi

Not high lit at all, but this is a great way to end the year. Enjoying it so far!
