I'm stuck on page 10, and it's because page 9 had a really thought provoking sentence that took me on a spiral in the last paragraph: "Time to an immortal was as fleeting as rain to the boundless ocean...[]the years passed as though they were weeks." I really felt that was powerful, and it's taken my thoughts in so many different directions that I've ended up putting the book down and doing other things 5-6x now,

TWAS FABULOUS. Finished in July or August

I am adoring this. We share the same philosophies on skincare which certainly makes me feel like I am doing something right. I love her philosophies on diet and exercise as well. This book is incredibly thorough and helpful, if it stays consistent in that respect, I would recommend this to anybody!

Finished. Enjoyed, the end got a little more jumbled in my opinion and became harder to follow.

Loving this book.

On pages like this you really get the sense that, "It's all marketing!!" And...yeah...this my blingbling barbie is hilariously bad.

Trudging through again. Enjoying it more this time. I have to get through all of these partially read books. Love how makeup and fashion can be looked at from so many different angles, as shown over the eras in history. It is not always about classical aesthetic beauty.

Currently can't find my book right now (even though it's gimongous) so I guess reading it is put on hold >.<

Almost done. Enjoying, but I have some mixed feelings and am considering lowering my rating.

I started reading this in 2009 and just never got around to completing it

Although I may be going back a few pages because the last time I read this was at the WCC library in 2013...

I'm not liking it so far. The emotions the narrator is having are very advanced for a child... which she is supposed to be. Also did I see a weird sexual reference at the end of chapter 2 with the 4 year old girl? I'm just very confused and creeped out so far... I am seeing realistic human emotions, like recognition of the fact that Polly OF COURSE misses her dad.
