Traveling we go! How cute is jealous Kaeror? 🔥 And I’m intrigued about Rose’s power. It’s getting interesting!

The audiobook is doing its work, but this has been the classic case of underestimating the reader: every information gets repeated 5x whenever something new pops up. WE KNOW why you can’t tell anyone about your brother. WE KNOW you don’t want to leave your sister again and why. WE KNOW what happened with Kaeror. WE KNOW how dangerous your magic is (u told us 100x already) 🙄 let’s move on, shall we? 😂

Started the audiobook right after I finished book 1 and it picks up right where the other stopped. However… this first 10% were sooo repetitive it almost doesn’t seem like the same Rose. The part with Jonas was very frustrating and her going on and on about her sister and the MMC and her house, and how unfair, etc. on repeat… ugh!! 🙄😂 First book was 4,5⭐️, so I hope this one picks up soon, too.

It started right where Dore Bound ended and it was a bit slow, a lot of focus on her sister and Merton being a bit frustrating, but now it started to pick up! Having fun with her and Stark 🔥

I think I’m a bit bored, tbh… I feel like nothing has really happened until now, just basically her being very naive, not saying anything to anyone. Now, she’s finally going on a journey, but it doesn’t really make sense to me that her brother is sending her on a mission to find this special sword if he plainly said he doesn’t trust her at all? I hope she grows some backbone and that it picks up a bit…

Love so far: Arthurian Lore, Arthur being the villain, the MMC is promising, Lancelot as a woman. Struggling with Morgan, though. I do hate overly naive FMCs and she’s frustrating me A LOT so far. Everyone offering her help and she refuses, basically protecting her abuser again and again… 🙄 And she still believes her brother will be kind to her? Come on darling… but it’s my first ARC, so let’s continue.

And I eating it up? 100%. Are all other books I’m reading being left untouched because I can’t put this audio down? Definitely!!

Super into the audiobook already, liking the dystopian meets ancient gods setting and the pace. Now, I was worried for a moment there that Dianna would kick Samkiel’s ass and escape even when he’s supposed to be this super supreme being of beings. I get he’s traumatised, but it wouldn’t make sense and it was pissing me off! 😂 Relieved that it didn’t happen!

This middle dragged a bit, but the story is still very captivating and full of mystery!

It continues right where Shield of Sparrows ended and it took me a minute to get back into the story, especially with the new POVs. I read a recap first to remember a bit of what happened and it has helped. So far so good, happy to be back into this universe!

Aequaaaaa noooo!! Shocked with these developments on Res… this is the best universe for me, also because we know more of the world and love the side characters. The other two seem less developed. In any case, this last part of the book is fast and action packed. I’m preparing my heart for more 🤯🤯🤯 moments to come before the end!

I confess it gets a bit confusing at times with the 3 places. It takes me a minute to acclimate each time it changes between them and try to remember what happened last time the POV changed, but I’m still super invested in the story as a whole.

Hollander finally recognising he’s been completely oblivious to all ilya has been doing for him? Yessss! And he’s so annoying with this diet of his. Live a little, pal!! I confess I had much more fun with the 1st book and this got a bit repetitive at times (I didn’t listen to it for almost 3 days…), but now I think it’s picking up again. Love Ilya going to therapy 💜
