An interesting read and although a difficult and emotive subject, it was in parts very enjoyable. However, I did find the writing technique often very dry and some of the references and ‘asides’ unnecessary and distracting. Overall, Ms Schindler has produced an exceptional piece of literature and a wonderful tribute to her family and their histories. I would recommend it despite some reservations
