This is like Dresden meets Men in Black and it is exactly what I want right now.

If It Bleeds - 4/5⭐️

Overall, my least favorite of the collection so far, but I still enjoyed this! It was great to see the return of some familiar faces from the Bill Hodges trilogy. There was also some great development for Holly’s character, which was needed given her solo book comes out soon. The plot was fine.

The Life of Chuck: 5/5⭐️

This was so, so good. It took me a second to understand the structure of this story, as well as the metaphor set up in the first section. However, this turned out to be incredible. It has one of my favorite scenes from any Stephen King work. I loved it!

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone: 4.25/5 stars.

Really connected with this story! Loved the friendship between the main character and Mr.Harrigan. The supernatural angle was interesting, as well. Would have been a 5 star novella, but I felt it ended rather abruptly.

Pushing to finish this in August.

I really need this to stick the landing. So far, it’s the perfect mix of old fashioned King Horror and Modern King Mystery. I am LOVING it.

I’ve been slowly rereading to this in anticipation of book 7 next month.
