Author made the unfortunate choice to write in the present tense. Led her to refer to a future event in the past tense!

Maybe Feldman's writing is heart-felt, but it certainly could be more informative. Supports my theory that memoirs should only be written by people over 50!

What the devil is going on in this book?

Charmless.

As we return to Marcel's love instead of Swann's, it is clear this is an amazing book.

"Swann in Love" describes Swann's (seemingly) one-sided love affair with Odette. What would the story have been like if told from Odette's point of view rather than Swann's?

Now into the second part, "Swann in Love." Easier reading than "Combray."

Impressive!

A quick read. Somewhat overly dramatic.

Sections of the story - like when Fowler and Pyle are stuck for a night in the watch tower - are too talky.

Started off slow, and the narrator is rather annoying. But Pyle's visit to declare via French translation by his rival his love of Phuong was great!

Too many big reveals as the book starts to wrap up.

Like pulling a cork from a bottle and the contents pour out, Yun Ling tells her story to Aritomo.

Maybe a little silly. Maybe I'm not from the right demographic.
