I'm debating whether to struggle through to the end of this book. I'm bogged down at two thirds of the way to the end. I've read other books by the author and generally liked them. This one has me trying to figure out the characters and when the story is taking placed.

The story is not holding my interest. No sense in reading more. Maybe try again later.

Seeing lots of bad behaviour from the "Ugly American" of the early 20th Century.

Prequel to the series. This one is Rick's first "case" when he arrives in Rome.

A slow read because you want to take time as you progress in the book to reflect on what Hanh is telling you.
