So no one likes the new update, right?

Today I had an author tell me he'd read my profile, and still recommended his book to me. Every second line in my profile says to not recommend their books to me, and I just don't understand why authors think this kind of spam is okay. Anyway, that's my first world problem of the day.

So I'm going to be going through some of my older reviews and copy editing them. If anyone can tell me how I can do that without it popping up as an update that I "reviewed" a book I'd originally reviewed over 5 years ago, I'd be eternally grateful to that person. Hello friends! I have been AWOL for a little bit there, but I was just finishing up my graduate degree, and I'm done with that, so I'm back! I'm so excited to check out what everyone's been reading in the meantime. :)

There's good pretension and there's bad pretension and this book uses the line between the two as a jump rope. And so does my liking for it fluctuate.

I've read maybe 7 books on war and genocide this year, already, and it's only May. Until I decide it is time to stop, I will be indulging in what can only be the trashiest of books. And am I looking forward to it!

I'm sorry I've been so inactive, everyone. Apparently, grad school can be a bitch.

I'm finally done with my finals, and for the next 20 days, I have many books planned. How many of those books I will actually read, is a mystery for the future. Happy Holidays, everyone! :D

So I haven't been the most active person this past year, and regretfully, this is about as active as I can be from now on. Come September, I'll be starting my Master's at The Fletcher School, which has been my dream school for over 10 years now. The downside is that it is considered one of the most hectic Grad programs ever. I do hope to check in here at least once a week. Much love and happy reading! <3

Goodreads banned my review of Cocky Roomie because "it went against its guidelines", but hey, an author legit bullying other authors apparently doesn't, so here we are. -_-

I was ideally supposed to be rather free these last two months, before I started my Masters, but what with loans, visa applications, and health check ups, I've been so busy! But I'm relatively free now and can't wait to catch up with you all!

Am I the only one who is wary of books that have just been released, and yet have "soon to be a major motion picture" on the cover/jacket? Like, let people react to the book before you start selling the movie rights, lest one must think you're only publishing the book to turn it into a movie.
