That’s not how I would structure a paragraph of speech… or rather, there does not need to be two paragraphs.

What did he think was going to happen? He was told not to and to wait until things could be contained and he did not because ????

Also the contradiction of saying an accent is British and then following with the character knowing exactly where they were…

I know this means Queen’s English because that’s what people mean when they say British. However, it is no less frustrating.

“I’m going to help people by doing the thing that will almost definitely put them in immediate danger…”

“I’ve only introduced you to 3 characters, so I’m from now on going to compare every new character to these 3 characters…”

The dialogue is clunky and loses flow whenever there’s an inner monologue that serves as an exposition dump…

Trying to make Lewis seem like a nice character by thinking about other people but then literally having him cut off a waitress because it’ll stop him from talking to this man he’s got a crush on… That’s how it reads and that is not polite.

This book is bad.

What does this “USA vs England” conversation do to serve the plot? Is it supposed to be flirting?
