On the previous chapter (Equality) that I read, the French revolution was brought up, so after I was done with the chapter I decided to put this book back into the bookshelf and read up on the topic of the French revolution, since my knowledge of that topic was more or less nonexistant.

It's the first book that I read on the actual french revolution.

Before the 1790s were out, all governments were rapidly expanding their repressive resourses, with a prolifiration of spies and informers and experiments with regular public police forces."

Chapter 3 (Equality) of part 2 of the book starts with this quote. Lets see what Ludovici writes.
