Still haven't a clue what this book is about. Enjoying it. Esp the Logan Ninefingers parts. All seems a bit meandering, though.

Thought I'd read this book before. But now that I'm into it again. I recall that now that I read a few chapters and put it down to wait for the rest of the series. So I had it marked wrong. This will essentially be my first reading of the book.

Whoa! It's been 10 YEARS! Need to re-read this so I can finally finish off this series.

Finally though all the flash-backy, coming of age stuff and romping in the present! And am really digging the book now. Made me cry this morning. Much improved over first book in the series.

Not getting this whole desert spear thing. They break spears in every fight with every demon, yet they're in a tree-less desert. There's no trade. They use arrows like crazy and "scorpions" ballista for shooting huge spear projectiles. Which some at least must burn up by fire demons. So where does all this damn wood come from?
