I usually don't like the back and forth of trusting and not trusting, believing and not believing BUT it's honestly so well done here that I can't help but love the turmoil

The way Apollo and Jacks are so unhinged but in different ways; like one is a villain for the sake of himself and the other is a villain for the sake of his lover I love it

What is happening in the house of commons

It's giving the bachelor and Alice in wonderland and I love it. Its also giving the Cinder series by Marissa Meyers and The Selection by Kiera class which makes me like it even more.

Mhhm, something seems fishy here. The gossip articles? The step-sister?? The step-sister seems so innocent and could do no wrong but my trust issues say otherwise.

Normally, I would hate the Cinderella retelling this story is going towards BUT the anger I feel right now for Evangeline is so great like the author is doing such a good job of building the reader up. I'm honestly loving the plot development right now and the story in my head looks like Alice in wonderland if that makes sense and I love it.

Not only is this author a pretentious asshole who thinks he's fuckin god but really is nothing more than a speck of dirt on the bottom of my shoes, I also think he's a mentally ill alcoholic. What was 15 year old me thinking when I bought this book.

Two things I've realized:
1. Holding this book makes me realize how heavy A House of Flame and Shadows is cause it feels so light and seems so small compared to it.
2. I'm not actually reading anything like I'm reading but I'm not reading and I think I'm about to regret my previous update cause this is just so boring.

I want to dnf this book so badly but I'm also kinda close to the end so I'm refusing to start a new book til this one is done, let the misery begin 🙃
