The best thing i can say about this is that right now i have no clue where its heading.

This is like a copy of Kings greatest hits. First deadlights are mentioned, and now a coffin has fell at a funeral revealing the body inside, not to mention the ghost that keeps cropping up warning the protagonist.

This book reminded me of IT. Now a kid being bullied has seen a light in the eyes of the bully. Not just any old light, but a "dead light"

Hmmpphh.

Sam's i believe speech reminded me of Rentons choose life speech in trainspotting. I dig it very much.

Not much has happened really but im still enjoying it.

What i appreciate about this book is that there is no faffing about to get from A to B. No describing the long journey on the plane or the endless highways travelled by car. Its literally " we are going there now" and then they're there.

Ooo was that a connection between the 2 stories...

Noone i have ever read does dialogue as well written and believable as Slaughter.

After 4 weeks off i thought i would have to give up on this as i didnt think id remember anything about it. Turns out i remember everything. Happy days :)

What a nasty piece of fiction this is. Riveting, but nasty.

If you have never read any Pierre Lamaitre then stop everything you're doing, grab a copy of one of his works, and read it. NOW!

Big driver was ok. It was brutal, but i guessed the twists, and its nothing i havent seen/read before in any other revenge flick.

Finished 1922. I knew this collection was meant to be dark, but didnt expect it to be that dark. Some horrifying images that will stay with me for a long time. Also ive never known rats to be used so effectively.

I love the introduction to each of the characters after they have received the phone call. Onwards we go...

Home is the place where when you go there, you have to finally face the thing in the dark.

A buddy read with my friend, Edward Lorn. This is my first Murakami novel. I really am not sure what i make of it just yet. I know one thing though, this author seems to have an obsession with fat people.

You may not know it, but shape changing is a time honored custom in Derry.

Man last time i read this i was about 16 and had no clue what the damn turtle was all about. Now im grinning like a Cheshire cat. Also that first part is faultless.
