Colin Russell is on page 17 of 192 of Explosive Running: Using the Science of Kinesiology to Improve Your Performance
Yessis speaks of general vs specific strength for running, and how his philosophy studies the specific joint actions and ranges of motion of those actions used in sequences of successful sprinting and long distance runners.

“Remember, the run you develop is determined to a great extent by your physical capabilities.”

It is therefore more important to an extent to train to run and not vice versa.

Colin Russell is on page 30 of 192 of The Passion Paradox: A Guide to Going All In, Finding Success, and Discovering the Benefits of an Unbalanced Life
So far there’s been thought provoking discussion about the biology of passion, focusing on the reward system and the neurotransmitter dopamine. Some folks (I think myself included) may be genetically predisposed to be less sensitive to dopamine, and need more of it to experience the same feelings of intense reward as others. This can actually lead to more persistence and drive to achieve your “dopamine fix”.

Colin Russell is on page 250 of 339 of Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World
Lots of metaphors to express information about differences between specialists and generalists, and pros vs cons of being one of each. Also - a lot of information per chapter. Going to start jotting down my thoughts and summaries of each chapter right after I am done reading them.
