Starting part 3 and, to be honest, I’m struggling to see the point of this prequel.

Just watched part of Dominic Cummings statement (hence my lack of reading) and wow! Just gobsmacked over his language, attitude and trying to gaslight/blame everyone else but himself. He even threw his wife, child & his boss, THE PRIME MINISTER, under the bus!

I’m going to keep going as it’s beginning to pick up, but if this was any other book, I think I would have DNF by now

To DNF or not to DNF?

Less than 300 pages to go and, is the rest of book the Hunger Games? I always assumed this would end with Snow becoming president but doubting self now...

God, this book is dense and probably not best thing to read in lockdown!

This chapter is da bomb! (... see what I did there?)

I like self-isolation is destroying my reading pleasure. Plus, ideas for writing... but I can see this being a three star read unless something OMFG happens.

I really should have read more but this feels slower in pace... just me?

So. Many. Questions and SLOW READING!

Ok, just finished chapter 1 and too hot to continue reading today but this is a very different animal to what I was expecting!

It's gone warm today and heat & lockdown is ruining my reading! But I have started and have already gone "WAIT!" on one tiny detail!

For the past several days, I can't seem to settle on anything reading wise. I know I should either wait for BALLAD OF SNAKES AND SONGBIRDS or start my buddy-read, but for some reason, my brain keeps saying "read this!" so, am going to try it out.

Though am quite tired today and nearly dropped kindle on my face twice. Not good start...

I think, in theory, I shall finish this tonight but spent most of my day editing an old Nanowrimo & flailing over UK Government’s new “advice” on COVID-19. Not done any Animal Crossing or as much reading as I would like, but ha-ho!

Feeling weirdly anxious this morning. Not flying through this like I did with CAULK, but this is a very different animal.

I spent most my morning editing something so reading’s down. But still a bit vanilla over the butter incident...

NOOO! THAT IS NOT WHAT BUTTER IS MEANT FOR!!!

I knew it (I went back to that scene in CAULKY yesterday to check). And it’s not much of a reason, though we have got hints of Dare’s backstory which makes me think he was homophobic bullied and due to his temper, had anger management issues...

Morning reading alert!

Wait! So, lead characters are older than I expected. Cole (our bear constructor) is early 40 and Ren early/mid 30s (his age hasn’t been said, but I know his arms are covered in sleeve tattoos).

Ok, not what I was expecting, but I get along with that

After picking up & putting down 3/4 books, let’s try this and hope for best!

(So much for my NetGalley blitz week...)

Not in right frame of mind for this, but I really want to do one or two NetGalley before I attack books/ebooks kind people gifted me...

Not sure my self-isolating brain will handle this as am starting/DNFing at the moment, but we shall this. It was this or Jane Harper’s THE DRY.

(so far, an introduction on history of author and this book as republished under British Library Crime Classic). But plan is to read one/two more NetGalley then focus on books gifted over past few weeks/months. Wish me luck!

Reading for past hour. Am awaiting the romance troupe of them breaking up before HEA...
