I'm just started with the first chapter. I've heard rave reviews about the movie, although I haven't watched it myself yet. Seldom do I hear anyone talk about the book. But, I am definitely one of those who enjoys reading the book first which was the reason for this pick. The novel seems to begin post-being stranded in a raft, which is interesting. I wonder if it will continue to be told as flashbacks.
